ABOUT THIS POSITION:

The Secretary of State is seeking candidates for a Quality Control Specialist in the Public Room of the Corporations Division. This position is the first point of contact for members of the public. This position is responsible for helping the public navigate the services offered within the Division. The position also assists the Floor Manager with the quality control of both filings made in-person and those made electronically.

In addition, this position will also be cross‑trained on other positions within the Division, when needed.

REPRESENTATIVE TASKS:
  • Certify business entity documents ordered online, through the mail and in person.
  • Navigate the Corporations Division website to research corporate records.
  • Search for corporate records using microfilm/microfiche.
  • Scan daily filings and quality control filings received digitally.
  • Answer general questions from the public and satellite offices.
  • Understand business records filed with the Corporations Division.
  • Assist the general public in person or on the phone.
KNOWLEDGES, SKILL AND ABILITIES

REQUIRED:
  • Minimum of one (1) of college, preferred. Or enrolled in college.
  • Previous clerical experience.
  • Previous filing experience helpful.
  • Ability to accurately type at least 40 words per minute.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
  • Familiarity with computer applications.
