This onsite Administrative Manager role is based in downtown Boston with a mission‑driven labor‑focused organization that supports building service workers. The position runs Monday‑Friday, 9:5pm with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch and pays $30/hour
. It is a 6‑month assignment with strong potential to extend.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a small administrative team, including development, timesheets, and reception operations
  • Support HR functions such as onboarding, offboarding, and recruitment
  • Oversee building management, maintenance, vendor contracts, and logistics for two office locations
  • Coordinate logistics for campaigns, including inventory, supplies, transportation, and space
  • Provide administrative support to the Staff Director across personnel, data management, reporting, financial controls, and planning
  • Liaise with headquarters on HR, payroll, accounting, IT, union contracts, and office services
Candidate Qualifications
  • Proven experience managing a fast‑paced office environment
  • Strong adherence to policies, confidentiality, and professional standards
  • Excellent time management, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office; advanced Excel and database skills preferred
  • Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse community
  • Interpersonal skills suited for supporting a multilingual member base;
    Spanish fluency preferred
  • Commitment to social justice issues is a plus
