The Facilities Support Assistant will support the Facilities and Support Services team. This individual will assist with daily facilities operations, office equipment maintenance, and an upcoming office relocation. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and able to work independently while following direction from management.
Key Responsibilities- Provide onsite support to staff for all facilities-related concerns.
- Assist in coordinating and executing office relocation and move logistics.
- Rearrange and assemble office furniture as needed.
- Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of office equipment and supplies.
- Identify and report facilities issues; track repair requests and ensure timely resolution.
- Troubleshoot basic printer and office equipment issues, replace printer cartridges, and coordinate service requests.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth facility operations.
- Utilize MS Excel and other tools to maintain tracking sheets and reports.
- Participate in online meetings, manage communication via email, and complete administrative tasks using desktop/laptop systems.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in Facilities Maintenance or a similar support role.
- Strong inventory management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50+ lbs safely.
- Experience with moving, packing, and office relocation coordination.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for office equipment and printers.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
- Tech-savvy with strong attention to detail.
- Prior experience supporting large-scale office relocations or move coordination projects.
- Experience working in a corporate or facilities management environment.
