About the Organization Seeking a Staff Accountant:
- Founded over 50 years ago, this organization has a rich history of focusing on underserved populations in Boston
- They have adapted through several public health crises over the years and always focus on patients first
- Growing from $12M in revenue to almost $40M, they are working to scale their operations to match their initiatives
- This position reports to the Controller and oversees the work of 3 employees
- Preparing and posting journal entries for month-end and year-end close
- Reconciliations for cash accounts, payroll, prepaids, and other balance sheet items
- Assisting in monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statement preparation
- Supporting grants compliance and budget tracking
- Assisting with analysis for budgets vs actuals
- BS in Accounting or experience equivalent (+4 years)
- 3+ years of experience as a staff accountant
- Experience in a nonprofit environment highly preferred
$60,000 - 80,000
