Senior Property Accountant - Boston

A family owned real estate firm is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to oversee property-level accounting within a commercial real estate environment. This hands on role supports financial reporting, property operations, and budgeting activities.

Compensation: $90, + Bonus

• Manage property accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities
• Record and amortize leasing commissions and recurring journal entries
• Reconcile escrow accounts, track taxes, and maintain fixed assets/depreciation
• Review P&L and balance sheet activity; investigate variances
• Support audits and year-end close
• Maintain lease tracking and tenant COIs; support CAM reconciliations
• Assist with tenant collections and serve as MRI system contact
• Coordinate budgeting and forecasting cycles with property managers

• 5–10+ years of commercial real estate/property accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of deferred leasing commissions and complex journal entries
• MRI software experience required; fixed asset systems preferred
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a lean team environment
