About the Organization Seeking a Senior Accountant:
- Well-established education nonprofit organization focused on specialized programming
- Supports students from 100+ countries
- High level of hybrid flexibility--in office one day per week
- Post journal entries
- Oversee purchasing accounting functions
- Process rental income and lease accounting
- Cash account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close
- Create quarterly and yearly reports
- Prepare financial statements
- Communicate with organization departments on the behalf of finance and accounting
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or experience equivalent
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with 2+ year(s) with month-end close responsibilities
- Workday experience is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
