Real Estate Accountant

Atlantic Group is seeking a Real Estate Accountant for our client in Boston, MA. This role supports the financial reporting and accounting oversight of a commercial real estate portfolio. The position involves reviewing property financial performance, assisting with audit and close processes, supporting fund-level accounting activities, and partnering closely with asset management teams. This opportunity is well suited for accounting professionals with real estate experience, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with Yardi.

• Review monthly property financial statements, cash flow activity, and capital expenditures prepared by third-party property managers
• Monitor property performance and identify financial trends and variances
• Analyze NOI trends, receivables, and budget-to-actual variances
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and reporting standards
• Partner with asset management teams to evaluate operating performance
• Assist with lease reviews, expense reconciliations, and tax-related analyses
• Contribute to quarterly and annual close cycles
• Support investor reporting, debt covenant compliance, and audit coordination
• Perform reconciliations and record investment transactions
• Process wire transfers, capital draws, and management fee calculations

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA or CPA-track preferred)
• 2–3 years of accounting experience, ideally within public accounting or real estate
• Experience with Yardi or similar real estate accounting platforms preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
