Job SummaryThe Corporate Accountant will report to the Director of Corporate Accounting and work closely with members of the Accounting team as well as cross-functional partners throughout the organization. This role is responsible for supporting corporate accounting and financial reporting activities, including monthly close, account reconciliations, audits, and compliance matters.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires strong judgment, a high level of professionalism, and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
Responsibilities- Perform day-to-day accounting activities for corporate entities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and cash receipts
- Process payments, prepare wire transfers, and monitor expenditure cycles to ensure accuracy and adherence to internal approval processes
- Calculate revenue based on contractual terms and process invoicing through the firm’s accounting system
- Support annual 1099 reporting requirements
- Prepare quarterly consumption tax work papers for third-party administrators and support timely filings in applicable foreign jurisdictions
- Assist with monthly and quarterly close processes, including preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations
- Support budget-to-actual reporting for internal departments and regional offices in both local and reporting currencies
- Assist in the preparation of annual audit work papers and coordination with external auditors
- Support corporate tax return preparation and respond to ad hoc tax-related requests
- Partner with teams across the organization to ensure timely invoice processing and accurate budget tracking
- Provide accounting guidance to non-finance teams regarding expense coding, reporting, and budget inquiries
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience; corporate or real estate experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with enterprise accounting or close-management systems (e.g., MRI, AVIDXchange, Concur, Flo Qast, or similar)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
