Real Estate Accountant - $105K + Benefits

We are seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Accountant to support a portfolio of 50–60 industrial properties in Memphis. This role involves close collaboration with property and asset managers to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. Ideal candidates will bring 3–5 years of commercial property accounting experience and proficiency with Yardi.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general ledger accounting for a portfolio of industrial real estate properties
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Complete bank reconciliations and support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end financial reporting
  • Collaborate with Property Managers and Asset Managers to maintain financial statement accuracy
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects including accounting software implementations and process improvements
Required Experience
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on commercial real estate
  • Experience working with internal departments such as property management or asset management
  • Exposure to high‑volume accounting tasks and fast‑paced environments
Required Skills
  • Proficiency with Yardi property management software
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with other real estate or financial software systems
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP related to real estate
  • Ability to communicate clearly across departments and with external stakeholders
