- Develop, implement, and strengthen internal controls, checks and balances, and standardized financial processes.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A).

- Support commercial and AIA billing requirements as needed.
- Build, mentor, and lead a 4‑person accounting team.
- Collaborate with leadership to provide actionable financial insights and free executive time for strategic initiatives.
- Work with unionized teams and understand union labor accounting requirements.
- 10–15 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in wholesale distribution of plumbing, hardware, or construction materials.
- Experience working with unionized employees.
- Proven leadership managing an accounting or finance team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA is a plus.
- Hands‑on experience in AR/AP, collections, audits, budgeting, FP&A, fixed assets, inventory accounting, POS systems, and multi‑location operations.

- Practical, hands‑on, and process‑oriented approach.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with showroom, operations, and leadership teams.
Collaborative, casual environment with long‑tenured employees. Requires a confident, practical, and adaptable leader who can roll up sleeves and implement improvements. Ability to balance hands‑on accounting responsibilities with team development and process ownership.
