Base pay range$70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr
Our client—an established Boston-based property management company with more than 60 years in the industry—is seeking a Property Accountant to join their onsite corporate team (Boston, MA 02116). This role supports accounting operations for a portfolio of 8–12 multifamily properties (approx. 2,500 units).
What You’ll Do- Manage AP & AR for assigned properties
- Complete bank reconciliations and prepare journal entries
- Review monthly financials and key reports (GPR, misc. income, expenses)
- Handle month-end reconciliations and record bad debt write-offs
- Ensure timely payment of real estate & personal property taxes
- Reconcile resident deposits and assist with ledger adjustments
- Monitor scheduled charges, lease expirations, deposit reports
- Track replacement reserves
- Build strong knowledge of Entrata Core
; assist with staff support/training - Support senior accounting, ownership, and property management teams
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
- 3+ years bookkeeping/accounting experience (property management preferred)
- Experience with Entrata is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
