Accounting Services Manager

We are seeking an Accounting Services Manager to support the client accounting services we provide to SMB clients across the U.S. This is a remote role with the requirement to travel to our Boston or South Florida offices at least 4-6x per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage a team and portfolio of SMB clients by providing accounting outsourcing services and administrative support to clients.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under US GAAP for clients.
• Participate in implementing accounting systems and migrating opening balances.
• Fractional Controller activities for SMB-sized companies.
• Coordinate and liaise with clients on day-to-day accounting matters and queries.
• Supervise the accounting services accounting team and ensure clients’ accounting records and statements are updated on a timely basis and client deliverable timelines are met.
• Assist with other departments regarding general accounting matters.
• Other incidental work as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

• Advanced or Super User skills in clients’ accounting software (e.g. Net Suite and Quick Books Online).
• At least 7 years of accounting work experience in an Accounting Services environment working with small and large clients ranging from $2 million to over $20 million in revenue or 5 years of accounting experience working as a Controller.
• A CPA license is preferred but not required.
• At least 4 years of experience managing a team of accountants and preparing financial statements under US GAAP is required. Able to manage a team in a fully remote environment.
• Top 50 accounting firm or similar experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of , Ramp, and Expensify is preferred.
• Experience implementing cloud-based accounting software is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, with advanced skills using Excel.
• Able to work independently and work under tight deadlines.
• Meticulous, organized, detailed and deadline oriented.
