Accounts Payable Accountant

A professional services firm located in Boston is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join the team on a contract-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience and strong attention to detail.

Location:

Boston, Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day home).

Compensation: $33.00 per hour.

• Code, match, and batch invoices for payment
• Perform check runs and ACH payments
• Obtain approvals and signatures
• Research discrepancies between invoices and POs
• Communicate with vendors and internal management to reconcile issues
• Process detailed invoices and expenses
• Allocate expenses to proper accounts and reconcile A/P at month-end

• Five years of experience in A/P with a proven track record of success
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is preferred; will consider a professional with strong years of experience and stability
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent system skills, including Excel, Elite, or 3 E would be a plus
