About the Role
Mencap in Boston is looking for caring and reliable Support Workers to join our team. The role involves working across two services that support adults with complex needs and requires experience in care and supporting people with challenging behaviours.
Responsibilities- Support people to live happy, independent and meaningful lives.
- Provide personal care, follow SALT assessments and communication guidance and carry out safe manual handling tasks.
- Assist people to access the local community, attend day centres, enjoy coffee and cake, play bingo or take trips to the cinema.
- Support individuals with managing finances, completing household tasks, building confidence and independence at home and in the community, accompany them to medical appointments and more.
- Work flexible shifts, including mornings from 7am or 9am to 10pm, sleep‑ins and weekends.

Visa & SponsorshipThis position does not meet the minimum salary requirements for a Health and Care visa under the UK Skilled Worker route. Therefore, although Mencap is a licensed sponsor, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK and we are not able to support new visa applications or sponsorship requests for this vacancy.
