Are you a hands-on technician with a strong mechanical background and a commitment to quality workmanship? We’re looking for a Shop Technician to join our team in Bossier, LA
. In this role, you’ll perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of equipment and machinery in our shop. You’ll collaborate closely with technicians, engineers, and customer service representatives to deliver excellent service and technical support.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair various types of equipment and machinery
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, identifying root causes
- Conduct equipment inspections to identify current or potential problems
- Assemble, install, and test new equipment per specifications
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation of parts and repairs
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Provide high-quality customer service and support
- Stay current on industry trends, tools, and technologies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Participate in company safety and quality programs
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certifications a plus)
- Previous experience as a shop technician or in a similar mechanical role
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina with the ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- Understanding of safety standards and best practices
- Basic computer skills for documentation and inventory systems
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands/arms to operate tools and equipment
- Occasional lifting of parts or equipment up to 45 lbs
- May involve extended periods of sitting while operating vehicles or machinery
