Overview

Position Summary... As a Tire & Battery Center Technician you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department and deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets the member’s expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Be a Team Member:
    Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate other associates on tools, tasks, resources, and mentor new technicians; communicate and develop interpersonal skills for providing safe and efficient customer service.
  • Be an Expert:
    Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems), product specifications and seasonality; demonstrate knowledge of Point of Sale systems, phone and in-person selling techniques.
  • Be a Techie:
    Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience and elevate associate engagement; utilize handheld technology and systems to make immediate business decisions related to services, safety alerts, new product information, product application and training; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
  • Be an Owner:
    Communicate equipment, tools and supplies needs; lead tracking and monitoring of returns and special orders; operate cash registers and process transactions; work hands-on in the physical area; maintain accurate inventory, audit, safety and compliance standards; report complaints, safety hazards and problems with products, services and work areas; complete paperwork/logs and other required documentation; ensure merchandise is packaged, labeled and stored per company policies;

    identify member needs, assist with purchasing decisions and resolve issues and concerns.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador:
    Be a brand advocate by valuing the member experience in the Tire & Battery Center area and modeling high quality service and products; develop, influence and inspire others; work in a respectful, supportive and team-oriented style; understand roadblocks and assist in training team members.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans and applying Open Door Policy in executing business processes and practices.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data and resources; collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers and other business partners; identifies priorities, deadlines and expectations; communicates progress and information; identifies improvement opportunities and adapts to change, difficulties and feedback.
