Poker Supervisor; Horseshoe Bossier

Position: Poker Supervisor (Horseshoe Bossier) Full Time
JOB SUMMARY:

Supervises the Poker Room, tracks players when necessary, and provides protection for games while providing friendly, helpful service to every guest.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

* High school diploma or GED is required.

* Five years previous Poker dealing experience is required.

* Must possess excellent customer relations and communication skills.

* Must have knowledge of basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and perform basic math without use of calculator.

* Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Acknowledges, greets, and converses in English with customers who are waiting to be seated at an active Poker game.

* Seats customers on available Poker table and lets the Dealer know that there is a new player.

* Makes seat changes and writes them down so there is no error.

* Transfers monies from Cashier to customers.

* Watches games at critical hours.

* Puts games together as soon as there are enough seats to go around.

* Ensures that games are not left weak or unattended.

* Handles any customer concerns when necessary.

* Must be able to accurately maintain brush bank and complete mathematical computations when buying and selling chips and/or money with the Cashier.

* Answers telephone and maintains Poker Bank.

* Fills out appropriate paperwork.

* Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.

* Spends the majority of time interviewing, training, and selecting employees.

* Conducts Performance Reviews.

* Makes or recommends wage increases.

* Makes or recommends promotions.

* Provides for safety and security.

* Handles employees' complaints or grievances.

* Recommends disciplinary action or disciplines employees.

* Plans work.

* Supervises and monitors work.

* Monitors legal compliance with federal, state, and gaming laws.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL:

* Must be able to maneuver in between Poker tables.

* Must be able to reach, pull, bend, crouch, and kneel around Poker tables and Poker bank.

* Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

* Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.

* Must present a well-groomed appearance.

* Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

* Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.

* Ability to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.

* Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.
