Position Title: Catholic Religious Education Coordinator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and administer Catholic religious education programs for children, youth, and adults.
- Develop and implement an annual religious education plan, including registration, teacher recruitment, and volunteer training.
- Recruit, train, and support catechists and volunteers, including coordination of substitute coverage as needed.
- Prepare religious education publicity for chapel bulletins, digital outreach, and announcements.
- Maintain accurate records for students, volunteers, attendance, and program participation.
- Coordinate youth, young adult, and Vacation Bible School (VBS) programs in collaboration with other chapel staff.
- Assist with sacramental preparation activities including First Communion, Confirmation, First Reconciliation, and RCIA.
- Maintain regular office hours and provide support to parish members, teachers, and volunteers.
- Ensure compliance with background check, safety, and child protection requirements.
- Submit required reports, documentation, and monthly participation data to designated chapel leadership.
- Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience in a Catholic educational or religious setting.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a military, ecumenical, and multi-faith environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and digital communication platforms.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to successfully complete background checks and installation access requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in theology, religious education, catechesis, or a related field.
- Experience supporting religious education programs in a military setting.
- Experience coordinating volunteers, teachers, and faith formation programs.
