Are you passionate about creating safe and inspiring environments for students to learn and grow? Do you have a knack for organisation and leadership? GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join a school based in Bordon and help to maintain school’s facilities to the highest standards.

The school is looking for a remarkable individual to manage the maintenance in the School alonside the Caretaker manager, handle various handyperson duties, and inspire excellence by aligning with the schools' vision and values. This role also includes contributing to the schools' development and ensuring the safety and well-being of students according to our safeguarding policies.

As a Caretaker, you will be supporting the school’s estate maintenance and compliance with health and safety standards

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of school facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and cleanliness.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conduct regular inspections, and implement necessary measures to safeguard students, staff, and visitors.
  • Manage the site budget efficiently, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
  • Lead and motivate the facilities team, providing guidance and support to ensure tasks are completed effectively and on schedule.
  • Liaise with staff, administrators, and external contractors to coordinate maintenance projects and address any facility-related issues promptly.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in facilities management or a related field.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
