• Provide excellent customer care to players, club members and non‑members using the Council's two municipal golf courses.
• Perform general shop duties, including ticket checking, taking payments, accounting for cash, giving advice and taking phone calls.
• Undertake general day‑to‑day maintenance and cleansing activities to keep facilities and equipment clean, safe and well presented.
• Work shifts (early & late) and weekends in accordance with the Golf Courses opening hours.

• Good literacy and numeracy skills and computer literacy.
• Experience of working in a shop or similar discurs environment; desirably experience with a computerised cash register.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, including handling telephone and e‑mail enquiries face‑to‑face and by phone.
• Experience in the leisure or golf industry is desirable, but not essential.
• Knowledge of till and booking systems is desirable.
