Deputy Home Manager

Southport / £15 per hour - 44 hours

My Client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Home Manager to join the team in Southport in their 40 bed Residential Care Home.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior carer or existing deputy manager looking to take the next step in a supportive, resident‑focused environment.

⭐ About the Role of Deputy Manager

44 hours per week

3 × 12‑hour shifts on the floor (8am-8pm)

1 supernumerary shift per week

Weekend working included on a rota basis

On‑call duties shared across the management team

£15 per hour

As Deputy Home Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of care, supporting the Home Manager with day‑to‑day operations, and leading by example on the floor.

⭐ Key Responsibilities for the Deputy Manager include:

Support the Home Manager in the effective running of the home

Lead and mentor care staff to deliver exceptional person‑centred care

Ensure compliance with CQC standards and company policies

Build positive relationships with residents, families, and external professionals

Assist with staff training, supervision, and development

Contribute to rota planning, audits, and care planning

Act as a role model during floor shifts and provide leadership during on‑call duties

⭐ About You

We're looking for someone who brings:

Previous experience in a senior care role (Deputy or Senior Carer level)

Strong leadership and communication skills

A passion for delivering high‑quality care

The ability to work flexibly, including weekends and on‑call

NVQ Level 3 (or working towards Level 4/5) is desirable
