About the Role

Care Assistant at Hesketh Park Lodge Care Home, a modern 79‑bed care home in Southport, Merseyside. The home delivers residential, nursing, dementia and respite care in a supportive, person‑centred environment.

Salary: £12.25‑£12.53 per hour

• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full‑time contract)

• Assist residents with daily routines, encouraging independence and positive choices.
• Follow and support each resident’s personalised care plan.
• Monitor health, communicate concerns to the nurse or clinical deputy manager, and assist with handling calls to relatives or health professionals.
• Uphold the dignity and respect of every resident.
• Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, fostering a warm environment.
• Collaborate with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, and respond promptly to emergencies.
• Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
• Bring joy and smiles to residents’ lives on a daily basis.

• Qualifications:
  
  SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Ideally at least 6 months as a Care Assistant, but passion for care and transferable skills are welcomed.
• Passion:
  Genuine interest in caring for the elderly and commitment to excellent service.
