About the Role
We are seeking an experienced M&E Estimator to join our growing team based in Bootle. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in mechanical and electrical estimating to contribute to a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, and industrial projects across the North West.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical and electrical packages
* Interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
* Carry out take-offs and pricing using estimating software
* Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
* Conduct site visits and attend pre- and post-tender meetings
* Identify value engineering opportunities
* Produce detailed tender submissions and cost breakdowns
* Liaise closely with project managers, design teams, and clients
Requirements
* Proven experience as an M&E Estimator within building services
* Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office packages
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Full UK driving licence (preferred)
Desirable
* HNC/HND or Degree in Building Services Engineering or related discipline
* Experience working on projects in healthcare, education, commercial, or residential sectors
* Knowledge of current building regulations and industry standards
