We are searching for a patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the staff at a well-regarded secondary school in Maghull.

Location:

Maghull, Lydiate, Melling, and Aintree: L31, L37

Roles type:
Flexible options (Full-time, Part-time, day to day or Long-term cover).

• Deliver 1:1 or small group support to help students master difficult subjects.
• Assist the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour and keeping students on task.
• Adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students.
• Supervise students during practical lessons and experiments to ensure safety.
• Keep a close eye on student progress and provide simple, encouraging feedback.
• Prepare the classroom environment and resources before each lesson begins.
• Act as a reliable mentor and positive role model for teenagers.
• Support the school's pastoral team in ensuring student well-being and safety.

• A resilient personality and the ability to build quick rapport with local teenagers.
• Previous experience in a school, youth club, or community setting is a big plus.
• A professional approach and the ability to follow school policies and procedures.
• A valid Enhanced DBS check (or the willingness for one).
