Axcis Education is recruiting for a full‑time teaching assistant to work with key‑stage 3 students with autism at a school in Southport.
Pay rates begin at £89 per day and may increase depending on experience. The school specialises in providing specialist care for students with autism from key stage 1 to key stage
4. Transport links are offered from Southport and surrounding areas, and free parking is provided on site.
The role requires you to work 1:1 and on a small group basis with students who are on the autism spectrum. You will support the teacher in delivering engaging activities across a range of lessons. Availability is required for 9 am – 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday. The position will start as soon as possible.
Key responsibilitiesSupport key‑stage 3 students with autism in classroom and small group settings, assisting with lesson delivery, engaging activities and individual support.
Ideal candidate- Excellent communication skills, empathy and patience
- Enhanced DBS check (or we can help obtain one)
- At least 6 months of relevant experience or a relevant qualification
- A genuine desire to make a difference to young people’s lives
- Backgrounds in care, coaching, youth work or support work are especially welcome

This is a temporary position, unless stated otherwise. Salary is dependent on skills and experience.
