Key Responsibilities

  • Checking in drivers and supporting dispatch operations
  • Communicating patiently and clearly with drivers, including those with weaker English skills

  • Processing transport documents, including:
    • Return notes
    • Next day loading packets
    • Packet updates
  • Using internal dispatching systems (training provided)
  • Filing and maintaining accurate records (training provided)
  • Supporting general office administration, with responsibilities expanding depending on skill level and team needs

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Experienced with Microsoft Windows
  • Fluent in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams
  • Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
  • Previous dispatch, transport, or logistics experience is an advantage
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to manage a busy inbox and process urgent communications efficiently
  • Patient, professional, and confident when dealing with drivers and staff
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn

Progression & Development

Additional administrative duties may be added depending on experience, skill level, and wider office team requirements.
