Description:
Watauga County is accepting applications for the position of Deputy Sheriff with the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office in the Patrol Division. The position performs intermediate protective service work including:
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required, with moderate experience in law enforcement, and possession of North Carolina Basic Law Enforcement Certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Benefits:
County benefit package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; membership with the Local Governmental Employees’ Retirement System; 5% supplemental retirement contribution; paid holidays; vacation and sick leave.
Salary Range: $54,034 - $56,736, depending on qualifications.
