CONTROLLER – Boone NC (in office)

We have been retained to fill a Financial Controller position for a well-respected organization that’s based in Boone NC. This is a hands‑on role leading a small team in an entrepreneurial environment. The Controller will work in office, supervise a small staff and execute all accounting and finance functions, budgeting and expense monitoring.

• Manage general ledger, including account assignments, accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Process month‑end close and financials / reporting for ownership
• Oversee maintenance of fixed asset schedule and process sales, use and property tax filings
• Provide financial insights to management for informed decision‑making and long‑term financial stability and growth
• Manage manufacturing and distribution related job cost reports and oversee property‑level financials for various real estate holdings
• Assist CPA firm in providing information required to prepare the federal and state income tax returns, and quarterly estimated tax payments

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3-10+ years of related experience
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems:
  Sage 50, Quick Books, Excel
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, risk management and communication
