Art History and Art Management Adjunct Instructor Pool
Location:
Boone, NC. Position Number: 018863. The Department of Art at Appalachian State University, accredited by NASAD, offers BFAs and BAs in Art Education, Graphic Design, Photography, Studio Art, and BA in Art & Visual Culture with concentrations in Art History, Art Management, and Studio Art.
- Prepare and deliver courses in art history, visual culture, and art management (face‑to‑face or online).
- Grading, student engagement, and weekly office hours.
- Submit materials for departmental and General Education assessment.
- Teach 0–5 courses per academic year.
- Minimum: MA or MFA in art history, visual studies, curatorial studies, art administration, or related discipline.
- Preferred: ABD or PhD in art history/visual studies; relevant teaching experience; experience teaching online asynchronous courses; enthusiasm for undergraduate General Education courses.
- Master’s: $3,348 per 3-credit course.
- Doctorate/Terminal: $3,720 per 3-credit course.
