Pre‑employment checks, including medical screening, two written references, verification of qualifications, eligibility to work in the UK, registration with the General Teaching Council Scotland (GTCS), PVG check for Regulated Work with Children. The post is considered Regulated Work with Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007.

Successful candidates will require a PVG Scheme membership. The fee for a Full PVG Scheme Membership is £59, re‑payment will occur over 6 pay periods. The fee for a PVG Scheme Record Update is £18, re‑payment over 2 pay periods.

Disclosure Scotland certificates are available to view via email. Unspent convictions must be disclosed. Failure to disclose may result in withdrawal of offer.
