ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND
You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app.

When you pick up a shift, reliable attendance is necessary. You must engage by picking up and working shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). If you do not respond to attempts to contact you or do not work at least one shift within 5 months, your employment may be terminated. Should you be offered a position, you will attend a Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule.

Afterward, use the myTime app to pick shifts.

ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT
Guest Advocates welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. They are knowledgeable about in-store and digital services and solutions that drive adoption, usage, and guest loyalty, and help guests shop quickly and easily at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up, while ensuring quality.

Role Skills and Typical Responsibilities

• Communicate and interact with guests to build an inclusive guest experience.
• Blend problem solving and decision making to resolve guest concerns.
• Adapt to different guest interactions and situations.
• Promote and engage around various benefits, offerings and services.
• Deliver service at checklanes and related guest services areas; support order pick up, drive up, and registry guests.

Typical Day Includes

• Provide a service culture and greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
• Assist guests with needs, know store tools, products, and services relevant to your area.
• Scan and bag items efficiently, maintain food safety and accuracy, minimize guest wait time.
• Inform guests about brand launches and store activities; assist with Target Loyalty programs and enrollment; educate on Wallet and Target App features.
• Handle returns per policy; de-escalate situations with leaders as needed.
• Support Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests; keep a clean workspace; stock supplies as needed.
• Operate in a safe, compliant, and ethical manner; report hazards.
• Support cash office operations as needed; comply with laws and store policies.
