Primary Purpose
Operate school bus and related equipment to provide safe and orderly transportation of students and other authorized persons on assigned route and to and from other designated locations.
Qualifications- Clear and valid Texas commercial driver’s license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to pass U.S. Department of Transportation alcohol and drug tests and annual physical exam
- Ability to complete required bus driver safety training
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Proficient map reading skills
- Ability to manage student behavior
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to operate bus
Part‑time and full‑time positions available. Bus driver for daily bus routes as well as for travel to extracurricular events. Full‑time positions are most often filled from current substitute employees.
Start Date- As soon as possible
- BISD Auxiliary (Non‑Exempt) ~ AH2
- BISD will provide the necessary training to obtain CDL and other necessary certifications.
- BISD pays $325.00 towards medical premium
- BISD provides a $10,000 Life Insurance premium for employee
- BISD pays Telehealth premium for employee
- $500 Technology Incentive
