Pharmacist - Tmc Bonham; Prn

Responsibilities

TMC Bonham Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital that offers primary care and specialty physicians. The hospital provides inpatient and outpatient services along with 24-hour emergency services. The CAH Program is designed to assure access to healthcare services for rural residents and to enhance the quality of care. The Pharmacist compounds and dispenses medication pursuant to physician orders; monitors drug therapy for appropriateness of drug, dose, route and duration of therapy;

screens for drug interactions, compatibilities and contraindications; and provides drug information to physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and patients.

• Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• For third shift, one year experience in hospital pharmacy is required. For all other shifts, previous hospital experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond quickly to emergency requests, communicate effectively, and work independently. Must handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
