Responsibilities
TMC Bonham Hospital is a 25‑bed critical access hospital that provides primary care, specialty physicians, inpatient and outpatient services, and 24‑hour emergency care. The Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Program ensures rural residents have access to high‑quality health services. TMC Bonham is managed by Texoma Medical Center, a subsidiary of UHS.
The Pharmacist composes and dispenses medication according to physician orders, monitors drug therapy for appropriateness of drug, dose, route, and duration, and screens for drug interactions, compatibilities and contraindications. The Pharmacist provides drug information to physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and patients.
Qualifications- Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
- For third shift, one year experience in hospital pharmacy is required. For all other shifts, previous hospital experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond quickly to emergency requests; communicate effectively and work independently; handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and schedule.
