Construction Control Representative

Primary Purpose of the Position:
This position requires a comprehensive, intensive, and practical knowledge of applying experience and skill to a wide range of concepts and practices for developing new or modified work methods or practices.

Organizational Location of the position:
Development and Construction Team, Engineering Service in Bonham, TX.

Duties include but are not limited to:

* Participates in design review conferences,! reviews preliminary plans and specifications prior to advertisement for practicability, anticipated physical obstructions and other construction difficulties and
· availability of selected materials. Attends and participates in pre bid conferences to orient and inform bidders as to features, requirements, and special conditions. Reviews final plans and specifications for construction feasibility and practical accomplishment, and interprets technical portions for other participate.

* Prepares documentation and sketches of contract changes, estimates of costs for modifications, materials, and equipment, evaluating condition at the work site, field measurements, computations, local prices , negotiates changes with contractor's representatives and presentation.

* Confers with co-workers on problems of control, administration and safety and makes decision to address specific problems.

* Reviews specification packages, design drawings, and independent government cost estimates for bid ability and constructable, assist engineer and/or project manager with preparing modification documents which involve design changes differing site conditions, variations in quantity estimates, changes in specifications.

Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
