Permanent, 37 hours per week
Essential Requirement:
Full Driving Licence, DBS and experience of carrying out Health and Safety risk assessments of potential hazards associated with activities and premises.

This role primarily entails supervising children & young people in the local community carrying out community reparation. Reparation is unpaid work that benefits victims of crime and the community. It helps children and young people (aged 10 to 17, and open to the Youth Justice Team) understand the consequences of their actions and take responsibility for their behaviour. You will organise projects in the local area (Bolton), assess risks, and ensure children and young people are safe, effective and motivated.

You will maintain accurate records and write reports on the standards of work for each child or young person.

The successful candidate will be able to supervise children and young people during community reparation activities, provide accurate verbal and written reports, and instruct them in the safe use of tools and equipment. You will have experience of practical tasks such as gardening, painting, decorating and bike maintenance. You will conduct thorough risk assessments for each activity and evaluate the suitability of young people for each project, taking into account their individual needs and diversity considerations.

Effective communication and the ability to engage and motivate children and young people are essential.
