Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior AV Installation Engineer to join our expanding team. No prior AV installation experience is required; we are looking for a candidate with a positive attitude, a passion for technology and a willingness to learn. This role is ideal for somebody who wants to progress in the industry and gain experience.
This role provides hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of audio-visual (AV) systems.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers, gain valuable industry knowledge and assist in AV projects across various sites. They will receive comprehensive training and be supported throughout their development into a confident and capable AV engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
Uphold the AVM values (positivity, empathy and innovation) and our reputation with clients, partners and suppliers.
Assist in the installation of AV equipment, including projectors, displays, speakers, video conferencing systems and equipment racks.
Installation and basic programming of AV control systems
Learn to read and interpret AV schematics and layout drawings
Assist in first and second fix structured cabling - pulling, terminating, soldering, and testing
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during installation.
Maintain tools, equipment and work spaces professionally.
Ensure all work meeting industry standards and company quality expectations.
Follow health & safety regulations and company procedures on-site.
Qualifications and Experience:
Full UK driving license
A self-starter who actively seeks feedback and applies learnings to improve performance.
Interest in audio visual technology, IT, or electrical engineering.
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Develop positive working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
