Trainee Plant Engineer; Night Shift

Our processing plant and team of operatives are growing and, as a result, we need to expand our team of skilled engineers to be able to carry out proactive maintenance and reactive repairs to our plant machinery across all our operating hours.The role

• responsible for developing own knowledge and skills by closely working with the skilled Plant Maintenance team
• with guidance from your skilled colleagues, undertake inspection and service routines, and repairs and testing of machinery
• investigate and diagnose faults, report findings and carry out all repairs to manufacturer’s standards
• assist in the cleaning of the MRF in all areas and remove waste within the plant in a safe and efficient manner
• ensure accurate records and information logs for all maintenance activities are completed and filed as required

• experience in a similar role within a workshop environment
• knowledge and understanding of the requirements of working within a time critical process environment
• ability to diagnose problems and identify preventative measures
• able to repair hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems
• demonstrates commitment to own learning and development
• experience working with the recycling, waste, or comparable plant industries would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided
• Competitive hourly rate, depending on experience
• 37.5 hours / 5 nights per week, Monday 10.00pm to Saturday 6.00am
