Ribble Recruitment is assisting an organisation in the appointment of an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a newly established children’s residential home in Bolton.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to open, register, and shape a home from the ground up, embedding a strong culture of safeguarding, high standards, and child-centred care from day one. You will have real autonomy and influence, supported by a committed Responsible Individual and senior leadership team.
The RoleAs Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and development of the home, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
Key responsibilities include :
- Leading the Ofsted registration process and maintaining ongoing compliance
- Ensuring the home meets the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Recruiting, developing, and motivating a skilled and values-led staff team
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and aspirational environment for children and young people
- Embedding trauma-informed practice and promoting positive behaviour support
- Maintaining robust safeguarding, safer recruitment, and risk management processes
- Building strong relationships with children, families, professionals, and placing authorities
- Confidently leading the home through Ofsted inspections
To be considered, you will :
- Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or equivalent (or be working towards it)
- Have at least 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting within the last 5 years
- Have experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of Ofsted frameworks and regulations
- Be confident and motivated by the challenge of opening and developing a new service
- Be resilient, child-focused, and driven to achieve positive outcomes
Competitive salary of £60,000 – £65,000 plus performance bonus
