About the Role
With a strong focus on customer service, you will join a team of Infrastructure Engineers supporting, maintaining, upgrading and expanding services across Outcomes First Group’s large estate of schools and offices.
You will deliver planned improvements alongside day-to-day management of servers, networks and cloud services, resolving complex issues, contributing to projects and ensuring infrastructure remains secure, resilient and fit for purpose.
As part of the Infrastructure Team, you will support strategic development of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure services, and WAN/LAN networks used by colleagues and students across the Group.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and implement technologies across a complex corporate network
Maintain high availability of on-premises and cloud platforms
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated infrastructure issues
Manage Microsoft-based server infrastructure (including Hyper-V)
Manage network infrastructure including Meraki, Ubiquiti, firewalls, VLANs, routing and switching
Configure and monitor WAN/LAN environments
Support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, SharePoint, Purview), Entra
ID and Intune
Assist with tenant consolidations and cross-tenant collaboration improvements
Support acquisitions and network integrations
Liaise with suppliers, resellers and service providers
Maintain infrastructure licensing
Contribute to cyber security improvements
Document systems and processes
Mentor IT team members and follow ITIL-based change procedures
Experience, Skills &
Qualifications:
You will have:
3–5 years’ experience in a 3rd Line/Infrastructure role (service desk or MSP)
Relevant qualification (Microsoft, Azure, MCSA, CCNA) or IT degree (or working towards)
Strong ITIL knowledge and infrastructure expertise
Experience with Windows Server 2016–2025, Windows 10/11 and Active Directory
Experience with enterprise networking, virtualization and LAN/WAN technologies
Experience managing Apple devices (JAMF desirable)
Azure infrastructure, Cisco Meraki, VoIP and web filtering experience desirable
You will demonstrate strong problem-solving ability, excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work proactively under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
