Position: HR Project Specialists - 12 month FTC

Description

Do you have HR, change, transformation support, or project support experience? We’re seeking HR Project Specialists who have experience in project delivery to join our People team here  role of the People Project Specialist is to support the delivery of People projects that align with the business strategy and transformation plans. Working closely with Strategic People Partners and Centre of Excellence (COE) teams, you’ll support with research, data collection and analysis, and coordination to develop practical, value-driven solutions.

You’ll act as a key point of contact for project teams and stakeholders, taking a hands‑on approach to execution and ensuring consistent delivery across initiatives.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you’ll be doing :
  • Supporting with scoping, planning, and tracking of People projects to ensure on‑time delivery within defined scope and value targets.
  • Building collaborative relationships across the organisation, provide regular progress updates to the Strategic People Partners and the Projects and Transformation Lead, and helping to unblock blockers.
  • Preparing concise project packs, status reports, and change communications, and supporting the execution of change activities where required.
  • Maintaining project plans, actions, risks, and dependencies, and supporting risk and issue management with appropriate escalation.
  • Providing practical guidance on People policies and procedures relevant to the project, and escalating complex policy questions to subject matter experts as needed.
  • Collecting and analysing HR data to identify trends and inform practical recommendations, and producing short, actionable insights for cross‑functional teams.
  • Coordinating with COEs, Legal, IT, Security, and other functions as needed to ensure data privacy, procurement, and governance requirements are observed in project work.
  • Participating in AXA UK wide HR related projects to share learnings and contribute where applicable.

What you’ll bring:
  • Significant experience in HR, change/transformation support, or project coordination with exposure to HR projects or reward‑related initiatives being desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field with professional change/project management credentials (PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile) being an advantage.
  • Project and Change management fundamentals and ability to apply methodologies coupled with strong data analysis and the ability to derive insights linked to business priorities.
  • Stakeholder management with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to tailor communication to audiences at different levels.
  • Pragmatic consultancy approach with the ability to influence without formal authority.
  • High level of organisation, prioritisation, ability to manage multiple tasks, and resilient under time pressure.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
  • Up to date knowledge of relevant employee legislation and its business impact.
