We have an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and financially literate professional to join our Learner Support Team
.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Head of Learner Support with the financial monitoring, planning, and contract management of learner support funding. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth processing of local authority contracts, invoices, and associated financial transactions, maintaining clear and professional communication with stakeholders throughout.

Ideally, you will have:

• GCSEs in Maths and English Grade C or above
• Possess a Level 3 or above Business or Financial qualification
• Level 2 IT Qualification
• Proven experience of working in a financial monitoring environment.
• Understanding of the importance of robust audit systems when responsible for public funds.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring local authority contracts are processed quickly and relevant invoices are raised.
• Supporting the Head of Learner Support with regard to calculating, monitoring and reporting on the finances surrounding high needs learners.
• Analysing and monitoring the funding of high-cost learners to ensure funding is efficiently utilised.
• Assisting the Head of Learner Support in the development of processes to ensure the smooth financial running of the department.

As an individual you will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk, and will therefore be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
