Newly Qualified Accountant - (Practice Part Qual or QBE)

Yournew role
- Accounts preparation and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Own balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the integrity of financial data
- Draft statutory financial statements in line with accounting standards
- Prepare and file VAT, Tax and other returns, ensuring full compliance
- Support budgeting and forecasting cycles alongside budget holders
- Deliver financial analysis and business insights to inform strategic decisions
- Develop, improve and document financial processes and internal controls
- Lead or support projects such as system implementations or acquisitions
- Carry out other financial duties as required by the business
- Nearly or Newly Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or ACCA or CIMA) or Qualified by Experience with in Accountancy Practice
- Newly qualified training from a good accounting firm
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting standards
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Finance systems and reporting tools
- Commercial acumen and ability to challenge and support operational teams
- Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and strong organisational skills
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships with your clients
- Agile approach, open to new challenges, and able to work both independently and in a team
- Full driving licence with access to a car, to travel to clients and occasional other offices
- Competitive salary circa £35,000 - 40,000k, or if highly experienced, will negotiate further.
