Purchase Ledger Clerk – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Axon Moore are partnering with a fast‑growing Bolton organisation to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk on a 12 month fixed‑term contract.
In this role, you will ensure that supplier invoices, employee expenses and other outgoing payments are processed accurately and in line with company policies and procedures. You will work closely with suppliers, internal teams, and the finance department to reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies and support month‑end closing activities.
Key Responsibilities- Process purchase ledger invoices and credit card transactions/expenses
- Post purchase ledger cash postings and other transactional finance entries
- Set up new suppliers and manage the accounts payable mailbox
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries
- Send invoices internally for approval and ready payments on the system
- Support month‑end closing activities and other finance related postings
- 1 year experience within a finance role
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Positive, can‑do attitude with an enthusiastic approach to work
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Collaboration and ability to work independently
- Starting salary up to £30,000
