Automation Engineer (FMCG / Automotive)

Bolton | £50,000 – £55,000 + up to 10% bonus

The role

As an Automation Engineer, you’ll work on the design, development, and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing systems. This includes:

  • Supporting and developing PLC-controlled equipment
    , robotic cells, and servo-driven machinery

  • Working on mechatronic systems that combine mechanical, electrical, and software elements

  • Improving line performance, reliability, and changeover flexibility

  • Supporting new equipment installation and technology upgrades

You’ll work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams, seeing your ideas move from concept to reality on the factory floor.
