Overview
Brownlow Fold Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA3) to join our dedicated Early Years team. The role is a fixed‑term contract (12 months, subject to becoming permanent) of 32.5 hours per week (term‑time plus 5 days).
Contract & PayContract Type: 32.5 hours per week, term time only + 5 days, fixed term for 12 months (may become permanent).
Salary: GRADE E (POINT 11-17) £28,142‑£31,022 per annum pro‑rata for term‑time + 5 days (£21,167‑£23,333 actual).

- Work alongside pupils, identifying and meeting individual learning needs while maintaining good order and discipline in line with the School’s Behaviour Policy.
- Support early years pupils in whole‑class activities and small‑group work.
- Contribute to the delivery of differentiated curricula.
- Provide support within the Early Years programme and enable meaningful inclusion and access to learning.
- Assist the class teacher in developing innovative, exciting teaching and learning experiences.
- Experienced and outstanding Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant.
- Demonstrated ability to support pupils in whole‑class and small‑group settings.
- Positive impact on classroom practice with high expectations for self, pupils, and staff.
- Team player able to motivate, lead, and support colleagues.
- Highly driven, committed to long‑term goals of Brownlow Fold.
- Minimum 2 years recent experience in an Early Years setting and deep understanding of the Early Years curriculum.
- Working knowledge of communication and language strategies and interventions (e.g., WELLCOMM, Language Through Listening, ELKLAN).
- Level 2 English and Maths qualification.
- Child‑centred approach to teaching and learning with a flexible, innovative practice.
- Excellent IT skills and use of range of software programmes.
- Commitment to high standards of presentation, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
- Ability to plan, prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and adhere to GDPR.
