Rivington and Blackrod High School wish to appoint a Pastoral Year Lead with experience of working with young people, families and external agencies to provide support to students to overcome any barriers to learning. The successful applicant will adopt a positive, proactive approach to behaviour, punctuality and attendance issues to enable students to maximise their potential.
The role will include
- promoting and ensuring safeguarding and health and safety and good behaviour of pupils at all times, including managing incidents of inappropriate behaviour
- working with students to increase their confidence and enable them to achieve their full potential
- empowering students to exercise a positive influence on their peers
- providing guidance to support social, health and hygiene development
- giving information, advice and guidance to help students make positive choices about their learning, behaviour and attendance
- encouraging the development of independent learning
- supporting students to meet school standards, updating CPOMS and other relevant data systems
