We are currently recruiting a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work in primary SEN settings. This role is ideal for an experienced and committed individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Responsibilities- Supporting pupils with a range of SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
- Working on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Supporting pupils within a Primary SEN or PRU setting
- Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation
- Helping to create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
- Working closely with teachers and support staff
- Previous experience working with children with SEN
- Experience in Primary schools, SEN schools or PRUs essential
- Confident supporting challenging behaviour
- Calm, resilient and patient approach
- Relevant TA or care experience preferred
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
