Behaviour Support Assistant. Education & Training

We are seeking a calm, resilient, and dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Bolton
. The role involves working closely with pupils who display challenging behaviour, SEMH needs, or additional learning needs
, providing consistent support to help them engage positively with learning.

This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils' emotional and behavioural development.

• Provide 1:1 and small-group behaviour support
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
• Implement behaviour plans and strategies set by the SENCO or leadership team
• De‑escalate challenging situations calmly and effectively
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
• Support learning both in and out of the classroom
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams

• Experience working with children with SEMH or behavioural needs (school or care setting preferred)
• Calm, patient, and consistent approach
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• Ability to remain resilient in challenging situations
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
