Lever Edge Primary Academy is a large two form entry primary school, with two nurseries a sports hall and a SEND unit.
Duties- Develop and implement age‑appropriate lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Have the ability to inspire students of all ages and skill levels and foster a love for music!
- Implement the teaching of the music curriculum from nursery to KS2 levels
- Teach students how to play instruments, read music and understand musical concepts
- Provide individual and group instruction in various musical styles and genres
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, and competitions
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to coordinate music programs and events
- Maintain a safe and organised music room
- Experience working with children or teaching/tutoring experience
- Knowledge of special education techniques is a plus
- Proficiency in playing two or more musical instruments
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate and engage students
- Patience, creativity, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
